At Finding Our Power Together, we believe research should be grounded in community, relationship, and responsibility. Our fellowship opportunities invite graduate students and emerging scholars to contribute to Indigenous-led research that supports wellness, healing, and systems change.
Fellowships at FOPT provide an opportunity to engage with an Indigenous research environment while developing independent scholarly work connected to real-world community priorities. Fellows work in consultation with Dr. Nicole Ineese-Nash and may engage with existing research datasets, collaborative analysis, and knowledge mobilization efforts across the FOPT research lab.
If you are a graduate student or emerging researcher seeking to contribute to community-engaged scholarship with meaningful impact, we invite you to explore our current fellowship opportunities.
The FOPT Graduate Research Fellowship supports graduate students who wish to develop an independent MRP, thesis, or dissertation project connected to Indigenous community-based research.
Fellows work in consultation with Dr. Nicole Ineese-Nash and may have the opportunity to engage with existing datasets and research initiatives related to areas such as Indigenous mental health, healing, youth leadership, disability and neurodiversity, early childhood education, and policy studies.
This fellowship is designed for graduate students who want to contribute original research that builds on existing projects while advancing their own scholarly work.
